Exploring New Opportunities for YP Members

2019 is a big year for YP members, full of new and exciting events and opportunities. Our YP Board members have been working hard to launch new initiatives to help early career professionals here at Xerox get more connected and have their voices heard. As a result, we have launched two programs in Q1, the Career Development/Department Exploration (CDDE) and the Reverse Mentorship Program. The goal of these programs is help you get involved in breaking down barriers, disrupting workflows and helping to propel Xerox into the future. Explore the opportunities below to find the best fit for your personal goals.

Career Development/Department Exploration (CDDE)

This year we are working hard to break down boundaries and challenge employees and departments to think differently and drive the company forward. The CDDE program is the perfect opportunity for us as young professionals to explore different job functions, work on high exposure exploration projects and learn new skills all while providing valuable insight on increasing efficiency and helping departments become more connected.

This program allows you to gain high exposure within the company and work on some exciting new projects in a variety of different departments including but not limited to; Accounting, Finance, HR, Legal, and Marketing. These projects will require varying time commitments anywhere from a couple hours up to 20 hours per week.

Reverse Mentorship Program

If you have insights into current technology trends, social media, consumer processes and are interested in opening two-way communication with the Executive Council (EC), than the Reverse Mentorship Program is for you! This program is another high exposure opportunity for YP members looking to mentor members of the EC and direct reports and become pioneers of change for the organization.

Each participant will be paired with members of the EC or a direct report to help open communication lines, streamline business processes, and bring fresh ideas to achieving company-wide goals. The time commitment for this program will be 1 hour a month to connect with your mentee in 1:1 meetings for the next 8+ months.
