Rochester / Virtual - Operation Food Basket - Volunteer & Donate

Operation Food Basket Holiday Campaign 2018

“Operation Food Basket started in 1981 and has been conducted annually since that time. It was started by a Xerox employee, Tony Carlisi who suggested to his fellow employees that the money spent on a $5 holiday grab bag gift exchange could be better used by buying and delivering food to needy families in the Rochester, NY area. Starting with a few dollars and few people, the campaign has grown to hundreds of volunteers who collect donations, buy, pack and deliver food directly to needy families just before Christmas.”

Several options are available to participate in the 2018 Operation Food Basket campaign.

Operation Food Basket

operationFoodBasketHeader.png

This holiday season, help your local Rochester community by volunteering at the Xerox Operation Food Basket event with YP NeXus!

Operation Food Basket is an annual campagin to feed hungry families in the Rochester NY area during the year-end holiday season. Rochester is ranked #1 for 'extreme poverty' of similar-sized U.S. cities, so this is a critial time of year for many families. On December 21st, Xerox employees, contracts, and retirees come together to pack and deliver food donations to local families.

This is a great opportunity to spend your day giving back to the local community, getting active at work, and meeting some great people!!

SIGN UP HERE TO VOLUNTEER!
